This month the children will be learning about where they live, Florida.  On Monday, I did a finger play with them about  5 Cranky Crabs. The children painted "red" crabs.  We read Beach Day.

The children discovered sand and seashells in their sensory table this week and books about the sea and the beach.  I was amazed how they took to these books this week!

 

 

On Wednesday, we read Ten Friendly Fish, a counting book.  I  pointed out to them all the colorful tropical fish in the book and we counted.  Later, I gave them sponge brushes, preloaded with water color paint.  These are so much fun, lots of color!  They painted tropical fish using many colors AND added some glitter to make them shine. :)

 We will be celebrating our first classroom birthday on Monday!
