Penguins and Polar Bears and Snowflakes!

This snowflake project was a great exercise in fine motor skills, particularly in getting the hands ready to hold a pencil!  The children also had to learn to control the "pipette" in order to get the paint into their pipette and then to release the paint.  It took a few tries but they got the hang of it!

Check out the animals sitting in the chairs behind them....... :)

Monday we will see a presentation of "The Princess and the Pea".
Have a great weekend!

This week the children worked on penguins and polar bears.  We also took some time to talk about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.   I am a little short on pictures this week, but I promise to have more next week!  I am looking forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday!

This project required a lot of glue!!!!

We're back!  How great it was to see everyone on Monday!  We have been talking about snow and cold weather this past week.  We sure got the cold weather, but thankfully that did not last long!

The children have been working on mittens and hats and even painted with ice cubes!  They also loved being back together to play and discover the new items in our classroom, including snow in the sensory table!

We celebrated a birthday!

We also have a new friend!

Some quality playing time........

This is a city that several of the children built.  We left it up for a few days :)

The pictures below are of the children making one of your Christmas gifts.....I couldn't post before Christmas!
