This week we worked on making Turkeys and Leaf Wreaths.

We explored Indian Corn and fall leaves. There were forest bugs in our leaves!  (Pretend, of course!)

Some classroom fun......

We had a great Thanksgiving snack!  Thank you to Ashley and her mom.  The kids enjoyed opening their little gift boxes!  They found a turkey cookie, a box of raisins and stickers!  Fun!

I hope you all enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Fall Leaves

This past week we have been working on making fall leaves.  We have been using red and yellow colors in paint and in glue to create some really neat fall art.  We have been reading books about fall and I have been trying to tell them how the seasons change and what fall is all about.  An interesting concept in Florida, but at least it felt like fall a few days last week!  Enjoy!

Notice how everyone had their own technique?

Our paintings turned into leaves on our tree.

We tried "printing" leaves.  We used old spools and red and yellow paint (rojo and amarillo in Spanish)  I discussed with the children how leaves fall off of the trees.  You may see in some of the pictures, leaves falling down the picture.

We read Fall, Leaves Fall by Zoe Hall

Some moments at play......................
