Some of our Halloween decorations...

I put out a piece of contact paper and a supply of tissue paper cut outs.  The children made this really neat sun catcher for the window!

Something new in the sensory table. Cat buckets!

A box can be sooo much fun!

He thought the pumpkin needed a hat : )

Making their Halloween t-shirts...

This week, I am including some pictures of the children at play.  They are really starting to engage in more cooperative play and it is fun to observe.

And of course, they are always busy playing by themselves!

This week, we started working on painting black cats. I had them paint at the easel with black paint mixed with a little glue.  Once they had painted as much as they wanted, I gave them two green
eyes and some white whiskers.  This is abstract art, but you can tell they are cats!  I love this
    project!

Fabulous! He actually drew a cat!

Have a great weekend!  I will be out tomorrow. Mrs. Silvestri will be there.  I am going to visit the grandbaby in Miami!  See you all on Monday!

We are starting to get our classroom ready for Halloween. The children made pumpkins for our bulletin board. The children used a pastry container, a golf ball and some orange paint to roller paint.  It was a lot of fun!

If you give a pumpkin a face, it's called a Jack O' Lantern!

The children also made candy corn pictures.  For this project, we talked about top, middle and bottom. We talked about the colors white, orange and yellow.  It was also a great exercise in developing fine motor skills.  I had a bag of candy corn on the table for a reference, as most of the children did not even know what candy corn was!  At the end of the morning, I let them all try some candy corn.  Most of them liked it, for some, its an acquired taste. :)

We had another birthday!  Actually two!

The fire truck came to school!  The children got to see the truck up close!

Painting yellow moons...
