Mrs. Mallue's Class - Nursery Rhymes

Our theme for last week, and for next week, is Nursery Rhymes.  I changed the décor in the room so we can read our nursery rhymes anytime we want to.  This week we worked on Baa Baa Black Sheep and Itsy Bitsy Spider.

I put out nursery rhyme puzzles this week.  They are a little more difficult to figure out but the children have been doing pretty well putting them together.

Baa Baa Black Sheep

For Itsy Bitsy Spider, the children did roller ball art.  I gave them a black sheet of paper, a golf ball and some white paint. We put the paper and the ball with paint on it, into a cake pan and snapped on the lid.  Then the children tilted the pan to get their desired spider web.  After they had the spider web the way they wanted it, they glued on a spider.  We read Itsy Bitsy Spider and The Very Busy Spider.

Ms. Rowe is always available to help out and she also will read books to the children any time they want to listen. :)

I love the concentration shown in these pictures.

Have a great weekend!
