We are starting to get our classroom ready for Halloween. The children made pumpkins for our bulletin board. The children used a pastry container, a golf ball and some orange paint to roller paint.  It was a lot of fun!

If you give a pumpkin a face, it's called a Jack O' Lantern!

The children also made candy corn pictures.  For this project, we talked about top, middle and bottom. We talked about the colors white, orange and yellow.  It was also a great exercise in developing fine motor skills.  I had a bag of candy corn on the table for a reference, as most of the children did not even know what candy corn was!  At the end of the morning, I let them all try some candy corn.  Most of them liked it, for some, its an acquired taste. :)

We had another birthday!  Actually two!

The fire truck came to school!  The children got to see the truck up close!
