We started off the week reading, The Very Hungry Caterpillar.  We even told the story with large puppets. The children then made butterflies.

Using the caterpillar/butterfly puppet

So, as you know I take a lot of pictures in the classroom.  One of my students asked me to take a picture with her. So this is our attempt at a selfie! It was actually pretty funny as Mrs. Mallue was not real happy about any of her pictures. So we just laughed and laughed! Here are a couple of our best shots. We took a bunch!  (I am not found of selfies, but it was fun with the children)

Pom Pom Painting.....they had to match the pom pom to the paint color to decorate the "oval".  This was a great exercise in color recognition and shapes.

The tongs are great for developing fine motor skills and capturing eggs!

On Friday, we got out our scarves and did some dancing.  The children had to listen to the words in order to know where the scarf needed to be, above your head, on your hips, etc.

AND THEN......we had fun with the Tooty Ta Song!  Thumbs up, elbows back , feet apart, knees together, tongue out.....

So much fun, all week!
We look forward to a fun concert by Silly Sam the Music Man on Monday.
Have a great weekend!
