What a fun week we had!  We started off at the Pumpkin Patch on Monday. The children heard about the journey the pumpkins had made to get to the the patch.  They also heard a story about how pumpkins grow from seed to orange pumpkin.  Then they all got to pick out  their own small pumpkin and we selected a large pumpkin for the classroom.

              

     

When we got back to our classroom, we celebrated Autumn's birthday!

 

On Wednesday, we carved into our pumpkin.  Not everyone was interested in pulling out pulp and seeds, but as you can see, a few of my friends sure were!

First we carved out a top.
