I hope that you all enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving Week!  We are busy getting ready for Christmas.  We started off the week by making Christmas lights for the "house" in our classroom.  The "lights" will be sent home later and you can use them as ornaments for your Christmas tree.  This activity involved the use of glue and glitter.  What a great combination! As you can see, this was serious business!

We read Mercer Mayer's, Merry Christmas, Mom and Dad.  The little critter tries very hard to help his parents with Christmas preparations.  He doesn't always get it quite right but with a little help from mom and dad, he does just fine, including decorating the tree.

We also worked on a surprise this week, so no pictures of that activity!

We read Nicky's Christmas Surprise by Harriett Ziefert.  It is a story  about a little kitten who is looking for just the right gift for his mom for Christmas.  He gets lots of advise from his animal friends and none of the gifts sounded good to us BUT we learned that mom and dad would love anything that we gave them as a gift because it would be a gift from the heart. :)

We saw a play this week by the Timeless Tales Theater group.  They presented Frosty the Snowman. The always do a marvelous job and the kids really enjoyed it!

Some random fun.....................
