Today we will take a look at a couple of trees that you might find growing in your back yard, the orange tree and the palm tree.
Oranges Trees -
An orange is a type of citrus fruit which people often eat. Oranges are a very good source of vitamins, especially vitamin C. Orange juice is an important part of many people's breakfast.
Oranges are round orange-colored fruit that grow on a tree which can reach 33 ft high. Orange trees have dark green shiny leaves and small white flowers with five petals. The flowers smell very sweet which attracts many bees.
Palm Trees -
There are about 2600 species of palm trees with most palms being native to tropical and subtropical climates. Most palms are distinguished by their large, compound, evergreen leaves, known as fronds, arranged at the top of a stem. The lifespan of a palm tree is up to 100 years, depending on the species.
