Five ants, six ants, seven ants, eight.
They are crawling on my plate!
Eight ants, seven ants,
Stomp around.
Six ants, five ants
On the ground.
Four ants, three ants,
On the run!
Two ants, one ant,

Art
#1 Cut a paper towel tube to about 6” tall. On the bottom cut 8 strips and spread them out to make legs. Dip your “spider” in paint and make prints.
#2 Cupcake Liner spiders - flatten out and glue cupcake liners to a sheet of construction paper. Draw leg and glue on eyes.
Bug Facts
CRICKETS
Most crickets live in the ground on the grass, but some live under the ground, inside caves, or high in trees.
Even though crickets have wings, they do not fly. Crickets can jump or travel short distances by producing jerky moves.
Crickets can be black, red, brown or green in color. Crickets make repeated chirping sounds. It is usually the male or boy cricket making all of the noise!
Ants
Ants have two stomachs.
Ants don’t have ears. Ants "hear" by feeling vibrations in the ground through their feet.
Ants are super strong- lifting 50 times their body weight.
Spiders -
Spiders are not insects. Instead, spiders are arachnids because they only have two body segments instead of three. Other arachnids are scorpions, mites and ticks.
Spiders have 8 legs. Count this spider’s legs:
Spiders spin webs to catch bugs to eat, but not all spiders make webs.
