Before the Spring Break, the children finished working on the "Out West" theme. They learned about branding on a ranch. The children did some stamping with their letter. They also worked on making a desert sunset, using water colors and pipettes.

When we came back from Spring Break, we started a new unit on the farm. The children worked on muddy pigs, spotted cows and fluffy sheep! Did you know that pigs use mud to keep cool?
The children were glad to be back at school. The looked to me like they had all grown! I have noticed a definite shift in their social skills. You can see from the pictures below that they are now engaging in cooperative play as opposed to parallel play.
I always get a kick out of the children and their imaginations!
See you all on Monday!
